Talented artist Liliana Slaeva from Fedoskino is the author of this beautiful box.
Liliana has been studied under the guidance of famous Fedoskino Master Gennadiy Larishev.
The work is called "Puppet Show" and show us a young lady entertaining her children during the long and cold winter days.A lady is using a towel as a stage and we can see two puppets in her hands. In the window on the background we can see winter landscape and snow fall. Red-furred can is also a part of a show and having some cloth on it's body.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Creamy gray lacquer is covered the exterior of the box while red lacquer is covered the interior. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, the year of 2012 and the village of Fedoskino.
