This beautiful large five-sided casket was painted by Fedoskino artist Vladimir Rogatov.
The work features the views of an old life. Top of the box showing us a watch Master at work- he sit at the table and fixing the watch. On a front side-beautiful lady is looking with admiring to a table clock with sculpture.On the right side- there is a still life painting, on the back side we can see another watch master at work.On the left side- a collection of all kind of clocks.
The scene is painted in mono-chromic style, using white and brown colors. The box exterior (bottom) is covered with a black lacquer. The box's interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. It has a hinge at the top of the scene, and rests on four legs. The box is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and dated.
