Talented artist Galina Sverlova from the village of Fedoskino has painted this sentimental composition of a girl playing with a puppy. The other puppy is near by: it is rushing through the opened door to get a piece of sugar as well as the first puppy. The scene is nicely painted, with a keen eye for detail. Colors are bright and festive!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with the artist's name and the year of 2013.
