The scene is framed with a thin gold line. Two parallel gold lines wraps around the bottom part of the box's body
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to complete the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the left of the composition and the box rests on wavy legs.
