Svetlana Chirkova from the village of Fedoskino is the talented artist who created this elegant portrait of a beautiful woman with roses. Her appearance is dreamy and romantic. To paint this portrait the artist has used various shades of gray and brown oils.
The portrait is framed with two strings of tiny silver beads. A string of tiny silver beads can be also found decorating the edges of the box's lid. The area between the portrait and the lid's edges is filled with roses painted in very pale gray oils against the cream background.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The box is signed with the artist's name and dated at the exterior of the base of the box.
