This interesting composition is a creation of talented Boris Shavirin of Fedoskino.
This box is painted on the traditional theme of peasant everyday life. It is a pan-cake week and peasants start to feel the festive Spring atmosphere. During a pan-cake week is celebrated with a festive mood in Russia, because after that will be a fast for 40 days.
Blue tones of oil paints suitable for reproduction of a winter scene predominate here. Several pieces of mother-of-pearl shines brightly through the oils to create brilliance of the skies.
The sides of the box are covered with a mixture of a blue with gray colors, that imitates a color of a blue marble.
The box is made out of paper-mache made. Black lacquer covers the exterior's bottom and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the top of the composition and rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2013 and the village of Fedoskino.
