This gorgeous panel has been painted by the outstanding Fedoskino artist, Sergey Golubyonkov (1960), whose unique works you can come across looking through many catalogues on the Fedoskino lacquer miniature painting.
Here the artist has painted his own version of the famous masterpiece "Boyarynya Sitting at the Window" originally painted on canvas by Konstantin Makovsky in 1885. This work is exhibited in the Omsk Region Art Museum after M.A. Vrubel.
Golubyonkov has managed to entwine wonderfully the realism of Makovsky with the magical beauty of Fedoskino miniature. He has used gold metal paint to accentuate richness of the boyaryna's costume.
The panel is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior(back side of the panel). Signed with the name of the artist, and the village of Fedoskino.
The portrait is highly detailed and very accurate. Photo-like quality! The plaque is selling with a frame. There are three options now.
