Description: Galina Tugarinova from the village of Fedoskino created this interesting composition of skating ring temporarily located in the center of Moscow, right at the Red square.
The architecture is painted with photo quality accuracy. The surrounding winter landscape is painted with smooth watercolor like brush strokes. To enliven the monotonous blue-gray palette of the composition, the artist enhances some of the details with gold and aluminum paint. The result is stunning!A small piece of mother-of -pearl is shining through the ice of the skating ring.
The scene is framed with a gold line. The box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the box is painted with black lacquer while the interior is completed with dark red lacquer. A hinge is fastened to the top of the composition. The box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed and dated (2013) by the artist.
