Olga Kachalkina, from the village of Fedoskino is the talented artist responsible for this delightful piece. The box is of semicircular shape that suits perfectly for reproduction of a forest landscape. The hedgehog has found a mushroom, and wants to taste it.
Silver paint is used to paint the hedgehog. The rest part of the composition is drawn in subdued oils. Luster of metal paints is strengthened from the leaves. The bottom part of the box's exterior is decorated with a bright blue band.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title (An Autumn) and the year of 2013 at the exterior bottom of a box.
