This small, but very detailed composition has been painted by Top 10 Fedoskino master, Rogatov Sergey. On this box he has depicted several shepherds warming themselves near the bonfire. The older beared guy is telling the stories, holding the smoking pipe in one of his hands. A young boy next to him is holding a horse shoe in his hands and looks like has a question regarding it...
The scene is painted in yellow and brown colors siutable to create a pieceful atmosphere of the late spring evening.
The scene is framed with a gold line, whiles the box's sides are adorned with the alluring ornament painted by a gold line.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Light gray lacquer is used to complete the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The lid is hinged at the top, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, and Fedoskino.
