This detailed scene of a peasant getting a fire wood from a forest was painted by the talented artist Svetlana Danshina of Fedoskino. Composition is a variation of a work of another talented Fedoskino artist- Pavel Anokhin.
Oil-based paint is the primary medium used to compose the intense realism in front of you. Danshina does an amazing job in making such a figure seem proper. Each and every ruffle and bend in his clothing is precisely executed and well defined! Several birds are following this man and one is not even afraid of sitting on one of the branches.One piece of mother-of-pearl is shines through the wings of the bird on the front of the composition, another one is shines through the branches of the fire wood in the middle of the scene.
The composition is framed with silver line. The interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer, while exterior of the box is painted black.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and confirming that this is a copy.
