Talented Sergey Knyazev has created a new composition called "Mysterious Unknown lady" and show us a lady on the bank of Neva river in St.Petersburg.
The box has a little mystery done by the artist: on the edges of the lid over the gold paint, the artist has wrote a little puzzle for us. On the left side he wrote-LOVES, on the top- St.Petersburg,on the right- not loves and to the bottom- Mysterious unknown. By the way- the lady is guessing on daisy... If St.Petersburg loves her or not.
In this composition Sergey Knyazev continues to paint in his unique recognizable style. Mother-of-pearl shines through the moon in the skies, the water and and costume of the Lady. The scene is painted in blues and greens oils mixed with aluminum powder. Darker blue oils mixed with aluminum powder also cover the box's exterior where we can find other recognizibe views of St.Petersburg.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The interior of the work is covered with red lacquer. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, Fedoskino and the year of 2014 on the lid's interior.
