This luxuriant box has been created by Fedoskino Master Igor Isaev. The box is designed and decorated in original and recognizible manner of the artist, and looks fantastic!
The scene shows the Russian countryside,old wooden barn, village road among the endless fields. On the background we can see the coupalas of an old church, that fact tells us about a village near by.
The edges of the lid, and the edges of the bottom part of the box's body are adorned with wide gold bands. The box's interior is covered with light purple paint mixed with gold powder.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, the title ("Landscape with Sunflowers"), and the village of Fedoskino.
