Strelkina Nadezhda is the famous Fedoskino artist who painted this beautiful portrait of a Russian Girl in Flowers. Under the portarit the artist has glued a sheet of gold, a Gold paint creates brilliance around girls face. The box's sides are beautifully decorated with branches of the leaves painted in green oils of different shades.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the box is fully painted, while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, and the village of Fedoskino and 1994.
