This festive box has been painted by the talented Fedoskino artist, Zotov Sergey.
The scene is painted in bright oil paints to create a festal mood. A piece of mother-of pearl is shining throught the map behind the pirate. The edges of the lid are adorned with a 3D gold band that is extended on the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Dark blue and bright blue lacquers are used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name.
