The entire surface of the box (except its bottom) is covered with the painting showing the insides of palaces and houses. On the top we can see two birds with sand hour glass. Maybe artist was thinking of the lenght of the life...
The basic colors of the exterior are light and dark blue colors. The interior is of a creamy gray color.
This box is made of a papier-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom with the six metal nails. The work is signed by the artist.
