This very detailed composition has been painted by a talented artist Taisia Danchenko. It is called a "Small train" and showed with a good sence of humour a moment when Santa was very impressed with one of the presents and keep playing with it instead of going to kids and give them the gifts...
The scenes are painted in bright oils against the dark brown background. The back side of the box shows a fire plce and other kids gifts.
On the box's exterior bottom the artist has continued to paint the railways and made the signing of her name, title and Fedoskino.
The box is exterior covered with painting, while the interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the box, and the box rests flat.
