This box was painted by talented Fedoskino Artist Liliana Slaeva.
Liliana used to work at the Fedoskino Factory under the guidance of famous artist and teacher Gennady Larishev, in one of his last experimental group of Artists.

The theme of the Russian Ballet is very popular among Fedoskino artists, and this work painted by Slaeva continues this series. The background of the box is painted in gray and black tones; the costume of the lady-dancer is snow-white. Looking at the box you having the impression, that the dancer is weightless! The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the box is painted in black colour. Red lacquer completes the interior of the box.
A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The box is signed with the village of Fedoskino, year 2017 and the name of the artist.
