Talented Fedoskino artist Roman Tyuvaev created this splendid large box. It's whole surface is covered with colorful painting, including its interior!!!
The work is painted in the surrealist style as everything depicted here reminds the fragments of someone's dream. This installation/box, with unique, one-of-the-kind shape, shows community of little people, who are located inside the clock and fixxing them.On the front of the box, on it's front window, we can see a figure in a costume of clown, who is touching the mechanism of the clock. On the back side, two figures that are using a enormous (for their sizes) screw.
Under the lid we can see plants painted on a gold color base. A big bird painted on the top of the box in bright yellow oils over a huge piece of mother-of-pearl that helps the box look festive and bright. Mother-of-pearl shimmers through the dial of the clock with a magic glow.
The artist has used irregular pieces of mother-of-pearl for two of four legs , on which the box is rests. The box is made of paper-mache. The box is signed with the artist name, dated under the lid and prefix "aut" means, that this box is original master creation.
