Talented Alexander Maslov from Fedoskino has painted this gorgeous box. It is an artist's original work, which was taken straight from the creative depths of his head, and then went to this box.
The work is called "Magicians". The whole surface of the lid, which is divided in four parts, is covered with painting. Here the artist has painted several magicians, sit under/on/in a large oak tree. A piece of mother-of-pearl shines throught the moon on the left.Wise cat is sit with a book of fairy-tales on the right part. Sides of the box are painted with gold lines. The box has a drawer on the fron side.
To paint this work Maslov has used violet, crimson, blue and brown tones of oils. In some areas the oils are mixed with gold powder that shines brightly through them.
The box's bottom part is imitating green marble. Dark red lacquer covers the box's interior. The artist has written his name, the title and the year of 2017 at the bottom of the lid. The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged, and the box rests on a four feet.
