This interesting work has been created by well-known artist, Mochalova Marie, from the village of Fedoskino. This installation imitates the shape of a basket filled with mushrooms. Marie is a daughter of Nikolay Zotov, Fedoskino Master, who is know for his unique shaped boxes.
The box's sides are painted to imitate the texture of a basket made out of flexible twigs; on the top of mushrooms Mochalova also paints a fly, leaves and nails of a pine tree.
To paint this work the artist has used various shades of brown oils, and gold metal paint as an underlayer for the oils. A large piece of mother-of pearl is used as a top of the installation.
