Olisova Larisa is the exceptional talented artist behind this interesting work. On this box Olisova has depicted several villagers playing blind man's buff in the forest. Villagers are dressed very rich and attractive.
The whole composition is richly decorated with several inlays of mother-of-pearl! Four pieces are shimmers through the dresses of the young ladies and a lad.
The sides of the box are richly decorated in a style which first time was used by the famous family tandem Shapkin-Kareva. The gold leaf is glued to the surface and then cut the gold out it the artist is making rich ornamentation!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the box is decorated with black paint, while red lacquer completes its interior. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title Playing blind man's buff, and the village of Fedoskino.
