This stunning box is a creation of the most famous Fedoskino artist Sergey Kozlov. In the foreground the artist has painted mushrooms while in the background the picturesque country landscape is depicted.
The work is drawn in the painting style of Sergey Kozlov who has created a series of boxes dedicated to the theme of mushrooms. The landscape painted in the background is drawn in gray tones. A large piece of mother-of pearl is shines through some of the mushrooms while the others are painted over silver metal paint or drawn entirely in oils.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Cream-grey lacquer was used to paint the exterior and interiorof the piece. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2020 .
