This small and attractive box has been painted by well-known Fedoskino artist Tamara Volodina. Painted in various shades of blue and gray oils, it shows an elf boy and an elf girl who are enjoying to be around the bloom of an apple tree.
The painting ais decorated with ladybugs, and they are crafted three-dimensionally and are coming out from the surface of the box! Gold paint is used to detail the costumes of the characters and the flowers.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The box's exterior is covered with creamy gray lacquer while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. Wide gold band is decorated the sides of the base of the box.
The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the title "Spring Mood", and the year of 2019 on the interior of the base of the box.
