This original composition was painted by a talented Fedoskino artist Tamara Belovodova (Volodina). Painted in various shades of blue and gray oils, it shows a small boy and an elf girl who are enjoying to be around the bloom of an apple tree. The box is called "A Spring Melody" and we can see how a boy playing on a flute for a girl.
The painting is decorated with ladybugs, and they are crafted three-dimensionally and are coming out from the surface of the box! Gold paint is used to detail the costumes of the characters, the flute and the flowers.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The box's exterior is covered with creamy gray lacquer while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. Wide gold band is decorated the sides of the base of the box.
The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the title "Spring Melody", and the year of 2019 on the interior of the base of the box.
