This small attractive and very detailed box is a creation of Tamara Volodina. It shows a little Poppy Girl sitting in the middle of a Poppy Flower and enjoying the beginning of Spring when fruit trees are covered with fresh green leaves and flowers are blossomed. A small butterfly spinning around the blossomed flowers to taste their sweet nectar and enjoy their delicate aroma.
The box's exterior is creamy gray. On the box's sides the artist continues to paint the flower leaves. Gold metal leaf is used to detail the costume of a girl, the center of a flower and a butterfly. Gold metal leaf produce a magic sparkling that charms the viewer from the first sight!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. The interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the title "Poppy Girl" and the year (2019) on the box's exterior bottom.
