This composition is a creation of one of the talented Fedoskino artists Alexander Chirkov. Here we can see three bears getting fishes from a river. In the background the picturesque forest landscape (right side) and a village (left side) are depicted.
The landscape painted in the background is drawn in subdued blue and grey tones. An artist has used two pieces of mother-of-pearl in this composition. One is shines through the water of a river and the second one-from the tree above the big bear in the middle.
The scene is framed with gold dots on the edge of the lid. Sides of the box are decorated with a painting of leaves of the trees and pine tree needles painted in gold.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer was used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes its interior. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the year of 2016 and the title ("Three Bears").
