Irina Turbeneova is the well-known Fedoskino artist who has managed to create such a beautiful box of the original shape. The subject is based on Lewis Carroll's classic tale "Alice in Wonderland". Here we can see almost all major characters of the Tale and Alice itself.
The artist continues to paint on the box's sides. The palette that she has used is dominated by the pastel, bright tones of oils.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box and the interior is painted red. The box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name and Fedoskino.
