Talented Fedoskino artist Mikhail Buzovkin has painted this interesting composition with a big brown bear in the Winter forest.
Beautiful coniferous trees are covered with a snow. The bear crosses a small clearing between the trees littered with snow. Bears usually hibernate in winter and spend most of the winter in a den. And bears wandering through the forest in winter are called crank bears.
The painting is framed with a scrolling pattern painted in gold, the box's sides are decorated with more intricate gold ornamentation. The interior is covered with red lacquer, while exterior is painted black.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on a wavy platform with eight legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2015.
