Buzovkin Mikhail from the village of Fedoskino is known as a talented landscape and architecture painter. Looking at this scene everyone can say that the artist loves his native land with its ramshackle peasant houses, small wooden churches, and evergreen forests...
This peaceful scene shows a couple of small wooden houses situated in the edge of the forest on a bank of a river. Blue ,brown and green tones are used here to reproduce the atmosphere of the end of summer. The grass is still green but we see the leaves on several trees have already turned yellow. It's already cool outside and the owners of the house have flooded the stove, smoke is visible from the chimney. In the foreground we see the bay of the river and three wooden rowing boats standing on the dock.
The composition is distinguished by an excellent layout, detailed painting, quality close to photography!
The box's exterior is painted black. The interior of the box is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The scene is framed with a gold line. The box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and 2017.
