Description: It takes a great deal of experience and thought in order to create a composition that is as beautiful as this. Larisa Poturayko of Kholui. She owns the ability and she transfers it with the utmost regularity. Her compositions are made up of condensed feelings, spectacular settings and mood inducing colors. This is a portrait of personality.
This work is called "Puppeteers", and features the girl and the lad presenting their performance to little children. By means of almost invisible strings they make their puppets move as if they are alive. The large blue cloth featuring the picturesque winter landscape serves as scenery.
The use of gold and aluminum contouring within the scene is astounding. Hand painted poetry it is.
The waving gold line frames the scene. The same ornamentation supplemented with intricate gold filigree patterns decorate the sides of the box.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers its exterior and red lacquer covers its interior. The box has a hinge from the left of the composition and rests on a flat bottom. On the interior of the lid the artist has added a beautiful gold frame, which surrounds an inscription. The inscription lists the author's name, the fact that this is an artist original, the title for the piece, and the village name of Kholui.
