On this interesting five-sided box we can see several views of major Russian cities.
On the top-we can see a view of Moscow with St.Basils Cathedral and Kremlin around it.
On the sides we can see a views of towns of Uglich, Suzdal, Pleos and Yaroslavl. Some of the towns are located on Volga river.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the box is covered with black paint, while red lacquer completes its interior. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on wavy legs (or two platforms). The work is signed with the artist's name, the title -the Golden Ring of Russia, and the village of Kholui.
