This appealing, round box was painted by talented Mstera artist Vladimir Filippov.
Dozens of flowers bloom from within the center of the composition. A bright, an electric orange-tangerine, red, green and lavender make up the tones of the leaves and flowers. Each petal and leaf has also been shaded with lively gold paint to enhance glow and texture. Roses, daisies and various wild flowers appear even more beautiful because of the soft blue background. Two butterflies and the big snail enjoy the aroma of this wonderful bouquet. The floral arrangement is as realistic as it is enchanting.
The bouquet painted in the center is framed with a garland of flowers. They are painted in green, blue, dark red, brown tempera paints against the dark crimson background and richly detailed with gold paints. The garland is framed with a gold line from one side and with gold beads from the other side.
The edges of the lid are decorated with intricate gold floral patterns. Two parallel strings of the similar gold floral patterns completed with eight bouquets painted in tempera paints (they look like the bouquet painted on the lid) can be found wrapping around the box's sides. The sides of the lid are decorated with gold beads.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box isn't hinged and rests on a flat bottom. The artist wrote Mstera, the title "Sweet Aroma", and his name on the bottom of the box.
