This beautiful box has been made by Zhygalov Yuriy from the village of Mstera.
Dozens of flowers bloom from within the center of the composition. A butterfly and several bees enjoy the aroma of this wonderful bouquet. Drawn in bright tempera paints the flowers and the insects hovering over it are abundantly detailed with gold paints. The green background tones with the fresh leaves of the flowers.
The bouquet is framed with the beautiful floral pattern painted in tempera and gold paints. The edges of the lid are decorated with the intricate gold pattern. The similar ornamentation can be found on the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box isn't hinged and rests on a flat bottom. The artist wrote Mstera, the title "Smile", and his name on the bottom of the box.
