This is a beautiful, original work by Vladimir Filippov from the village of Mstera.
A bright bouquet of orange-red roses, lilies, and lavender daisies surrounded fresh green leaves is richly detailed with gold paints. Three butterflies enjoy the aroma of this wonderful bouquet. The dark crimson background tone harmoniously with the coloration the bouquet.
The edges of the lid are decorated with the splendid pattern drawn in bright tempera paints, and outlined with gold paints. The lid's sides are adorned with a string of tiny gold beads. Another string of gold beads decorate the box's body along with the complex floral pattern painted in green, dark crimson and lavender tempera paints and outlined with gold paints.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box isn't hinged and rests on a flat bottom. The artist wrote Mstera, the title "Grace", and his name on the bottom of the box.
