Vladimir Filippov from the village of Mstera is the talented artist responsible for this lovely composition. Elegance comes in the form of the finished product.
In the center of the composition there is an olive circle. Within the boundaries of this circle the artist depicts a bouquet of flowers. These flowers and their leaves are drawn in bright red, green, orange, lavender tempera paints and richly detailed with gold paints. The circle is framed with the beautiful pattern painted in tempera and gold paints against the green background. The edges of the lid are decorated with intricate gold patterns. The lid's sides are adorned with tiny gold beads. A beautiful floral pattern painted in red, green, blue, lavender tempera paints and outlined with gold paints wraps around the box's body.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box isn't hinged and rests on a flat bottom. The artist wrote Mstera, the title "Morning", and his name on the bottom of the box.
