This traditional Mstera box that shows the summer landscape with a shepherd pasturing sheep on the riverside has been drawn by Pavel Mozhaev. The artist's palette is full of natural tones. Good brushwork and a steady hand allow the artist to add a great amount of detail and create a balanced composition.
The scene is outlined with gold. The edges of the lid and the box's sides are adorned with intricate gold patterns.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on four legs. The work is signed with Mstera, the title ("Landscape") and the artist's name.
