This box was painted by a well-known Mstera Master, Daniil Molodkin. The theme of his grass world inhabited by dwarfs and elves seems to be inexhaustible. This exceptional work continues this interesting theme.
Here Molodkin has drawn small draft, who sit on a green snail. The artist has demonstrated his good sense of humor by giving a funny title to this work - "A traveller".
The scene is contrast and animated. Green, yellow and red tones of tempera paints dominate here. Gold is used to enhance the details of the scene and to fully bring the colors to life.
The scene is outlined with gold.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The exterior of the piece is imitating the color of a malachite, and red lacquer completes the interior of the box.
The lid is hinged,and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Mstera and the title.
