The box features various characters from a number of Pushkin's fairy-tales. All these characters figure in the introduction to the popular Pushkin's poem "Ruslan and Lyudmila". Here we can see Koshchey the Deathless adoring his treasures, Baba-Yaga flying in the night sky riding her mortar, Baba-Yaga's hut standing on chicken legs, the Giant Head, Lyudmila sitting imprisoned in the Chernomor's palace, Ruslan battling with the wicked wizard Chernomor, Prince Yelisey asking the Wind where he can find his bride, Vasilisa who illuminates her way with a skull, the magic squirrel, Prince Gvidon saving Princess Swan from the hawk, mermaids sitting on the big oak, and, certainly, the inventor of all these characters
