This box painted by Leonid Zuikov shows a scene based on the words from Russian folk song "I remember the times when I was young..."
The scene is painted in the traditional Mstera style. The lid is decorated with intricate floral and leafy patterns painted with tempera paints. The box's sides are decorated with a nice gold leafy pattern.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Mstera and the title.
