This box was painted by Kalinichenko Dmitriy shows a scene from the well-known Alexander Pushkin's "tale Tale of the Golden Rooster" .
The scene is painted in the traditional Mstera style. The lid is decorated with intricate floral and leafy patterns painted with tempera paints. The box's sides are decorated with a nice gold leafy pattern.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Mstera and the title.
