This traditional Palekh Troyka composition was painted by talented artist Trusov Anatoliy Alexandrovich(born in 1950),who used to study in Palekh Art School(1965-1970). The artist as used to work as a teacher in Ivanovo Department of Palekh Art School in town of Ivanovo(1996-2000).
Here we can see the three horses sledging a couple through the winter snow.
A simple gold ornament decorates the edges of the lid and as well as the sides of the box are adorned with beautiful gold floral ornamentation.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is not hinged and the box rests on flat bottom. It is signed with the name of the artist, the village of Palekh, and a year 1990.
