This alluring Palekh box is a creation of Anna Kamanina, the daughter of I.Ya. Kamanin and N.M. Kamanina. She is the Member of Artist's Union since 1989. Her works are exhibited in the State Museum of Palekh Art, the All Russia Museum of Decorative and Applied Art and in the Ivanovo Region Art Museum.
The box depicts a scene from Hans Christian Andersen's popular fairy tale "The Snow Queen". Here we can see the Snow Queen kidnapping Kay, and carrying him to her ice kingdom.
