This colorful matryoshka (nestling doll) is the production of Sergiev Posad Art School. It includes four dolls (five in the whole). Each of them feature attractive girls dressed in traditional Russian costumes and bright red kerchiefs. The first and the biggest doll carries a yoke, as well as two smaller ones. The fourth and the fifth dolls are painted without a yoke because of their small size. The dolls' costumes are richly decorated with floral patterns and lace. To paint the dolls the artist has used all shades of red, and gold paint for additional decoration. The work is signed by the artist (Proshchenkova).
