This charming nestling-doll was painted by Lukash A.G. from the town of Sergiev Posad. It includes 5 dolls and each of them depicts children with animals. The first girl and the biggest one hold a basket in her hands and caresses a goat. The second one holds a plate and a spoon, and a rooster is depicted near her. The third girl holds a rabbit, while the fourth one holds chicken. The last and the smallest one holds a cat. Little girls dressed in peasant costumes merrily look at the viewer. Their heads are covered with bright red, blue, pink, and green kerchiefs. They are dressed in multicolored sarafans and white embroidered shirts. Some of them are bare-foot, the others wear "lapti" (bast shoes). The artist does a good job by painting the angelic faces of the little girls. They are animated and show such emotions as joy and playfulness. These nestling dolls don't look like primitive goods owing to the fact that their faces are painted with portrait quality. It seems that real girls are looking at us and laughing merrily. The composition of each doll also includes animals. The nestling doll is made out of wood, and covered with paints.
