Description: This splendid composition was painted by the famous Fedoskino Master Pavel Anokhin. His otherworldly style and subtle palette are as recognizible as they are stunning. His approach to miniature painting is philosophical and he puts his thoughts behind every work. He prefers to create his own themes and scenes which he calls "dreams about the beautiful".
The work is called "Deceiver" and shows a street vendor, who is blowing all kind of bubbles and balloons. His large white fake beard is tied over his hat.In the soup bubbles the artist has painted reflection his own portraits!
Otherwords, the artist look at the deceiver, as all other people, who has trusted to the bubble stories and sand castles, everyone can be tricked...
But artist don't know, if he will trust a deciever...I have spoke to Pavel, he said, I became very careful now. I may not peck on his stories...
This is a talk about real and fake/bubble things, that may look fabulous at this moment, but in one hour or so they will fade away or disappear.
As always, the painting is very detailed, bubbles are painted very light and transparent!
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. Blue lacquer covers the exterior and creamy gray covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge to its top and rests on four foot finished with metal nails.
Composition is signed at the bottom with the artist name and title.
