This beautiful painting of winter amusement was painted by Dmitriy Bebikhov of Fedoskino. Here we can see several children sledging down the hill. The sledges are large, several people can fit in one! Some of the children are just going down and some others are rising up the hill! Kids are screaming and yelling!
The painting is framed with a thin gold line. Two parallel gold lines wrap around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the painting, and the box rests on four legs.
The work is signed with the artist's name, title- Holiday fun and the year of 2012.
