Talented artist Arapova Anastasiya from the village of Palekh has painted this scene with a winter troika (three horse sleigh) speeding through snowstorm. A couple hides from the snowstorm in the sleigh while a driver encourages the horses.
Gold paint is used to detail the sledge, the character's costumes and the horse's harnesses, manes and tails. This work is very detailed!
The scene is framed with a nice golden ornament.The box's sides are decorated with a golden ornament with the adds of aluminum paint. The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged to the top of the composition, and the box rests flat.
