Alexey Viktorovich Korchagin was born in 1960 in the town of Reutovo, Moscow suburb ,and afterwards moved to the village of Fedoskino. He finished the Fedoskino Art School. His teachers were S.V. Monashov and G.I. Larishev.
Korchagin’s works have been displayed in several exhibitions and appear in every major book on Fedoskino lacquer miniature painting, and have earned him prestigious awards.
A.V. Korchagin is a member of the Artists’ Union of Russia.
Now the artist lives and works in the town of Dolgoprudnii.
