Themes of his works are Russian folk fairy-tales, historical themes and architecture. His favorite themes to depict are fairy-tales and architecture.
The artist hopes his works will help to revive the interest to ancient Russian architecture. Beginning to paint, he intends to reflect a chosen theme as he imagines it.
Mikhail Viktorovich prefers to use in painting the tones of natural stones. He thinks his works are notable for a peculiar painting technique.
Works by the famous Kholui artists Belov V.A. and Baburin N.I had a great influence on the artist's creative work.
